Lifestyle City Guide Catania – PinkTrotters

There are so many reasons to visit Catania!

It is rich of art, history, magnificent churches and palaces: St' Agata Cathedral and Villa Bellini, just to name some Sicilian baroque jewels.
The sea is fantastic, there are characteristic villages such as Acitrezza, the hometown of Verga and his masterpiece "I Malavoglia".

It is located in the slopes of Mount Etna, one of the main symbols of the city. A visit of the natural park is mandatory! And its eruptions donate stunning views!

You can taste the delights of Sicilian cuisine, from fresh fish sold at the market to Arancini (in Catania people say "Arancini" and not "Arancine", struggling with Palermo!).

Catania is the center of the eastern Sicily, the ideal starting point to reach beautiful places like Taormina, Giardini Naxos, Acireale, but also Syracuse and Ragusa. And it is well connected via the International Airport Vincenzo Bellini.
