China's lively Jinjiang District has become a popular vacation destination due its rich culture, history, shopping, and sightseeing. New York travel company AllTheRooms has plenty of experience with traveling in China, and here are the top reasons why Jinjiang should be on your bucket list:

1. Great Shopping

If you love shopping, Jinjiang has every type of store you could possibly want. Chunxi Road is one of the best areas to visit to indulge in the city's fashion scene. Here you'll find high-end brands such as Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Armani, through to nearby side-streets packed with budget-fashion boutiques.

One of the main draws to the shopping district is the enormous 'mega-malls', which sell everything from local products to appliances and clothes. Some of the top malls to visit are Ito Yokado and Isetan—the two Japanese malls are packed with brands like Swarovski, Godiva, and Zara, alongside floors filled with delicious Asian foods. Elsewhere, Chicony mall is a Taiwanese-developed center with brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Armani, Calvin Klein, and Lacoste. If you're hungry, there's an entire floor dedicated to international restaurants with Indian, Korean, Indian and Thai cuisine.

2. Beautiful Nature

Looking to relax in beautiful, natural surroundings? You can explore Sansheng Village, which is overflowing with flower farms and restaurants. It's known as a peaceful flower haven where you can unwind among the colorful plants and sip tea. Visitors can buy beautiful succulents, cacti and many more types of small plants to bring back as souvenirs. Time your visit for the spring, when you'll be able to see peach, pear, plum and cherry blossoms, or in the summer when you can see lotus flowers and Asian water lilies. In the fall, chrysanthemums and hibiscuses are in bloom.

For an added nature-fix, visit Bailuwan Wetland Park, an artificial wetland that offers over 200 hectares of lush plants, wildlife, and boardwalks. The best way to explore the park is on a bike. Get a group of friends together and spend a day biking around, stopping to see the wildlife on the way.

3. Local Culture

If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, head to the Daci Monastery, which is a large Buddhist monastery and an incredibly peaceful place to sit and relax. First built by the Sui Dynasty in the years 581-618, the Monastery has since been rebuilt and renovated many times, with the most recent structure dating back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). You can have a cup of tea and chill out in the surrounding gardens.

4. The Weather

The Jinjiang District has a tropical climate, and the days are warm with some showers almost all year round. The temperature is normally around 64℉-68℉ but the best time to visit is in April and November when the seasons of spring and fall are in their glory.

5. Modern Architecture

The Jinjiang District has made bounding progress in recent years, and it's becoming one of the most modern districts in China. Over the past period, it has won honors that include the Top Ten Area of Modern Services in China and the Top Urban Area in the Chinese Mainland for Investments. The area has a bustling business district, packed with new buildings.

6. Walk the River

The river that runs through the Jinjiang District has been written about by poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu, and Lu You. It's a beautiful river, where you can take a peaceful stroll in the afternoon.
