"Passion should propel you and cause you to live audaciously." You moved to London last October-- was it always your dream to live in the UK? Why England?
For some unknown reason, I have always loved London! After completing a semester abroad in the UK during undergrad, I vowed that I would return. So here I am completing my master's degree in psychology and working in PR with Pinktrotters :) ! I'm living my dream.Tell us about your experience here in the UK. Have you been able to see some of Europe?
Moving to the UK has been such a life changing experience. Luckily, I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Bologna and Milan, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Paris.
Which is your favorite city and why?
I'll have to pick two haha! I absolutely LOVE Barcelona. The city is so vibrant with colorful architecture, kind people, and delicious food! Paris was also a favorite because (aside from the scenery and rich history) I love the eccentric fashion! You recently started a fashion campaign, Beneath Your Beautiful, and hosted an event in London last month. What is Beneath Your Beautiful and what do you hope to achieve?
Beneath Your Beautiful started as a social enterprise purposed to empower self-confidence and propel women into their purpose. We host discussions in an effort to combat the media's prescriptions of beauty, and fashion shows to give emerging designers a platform to showcase their creations.
What do you think of Pinktrotters' concept of travelling with other women?
I love it! I believe travelling with others enables us to learn about ourselves and develop a readiness and appreciation for teamwork. Connecting with others also broadens your perception of the world.
Any advice for other women seeking travel bliss?
If you want something, go for it. Write out your visions (Habakkuk 2:2)
. Write out your travel plans. Keep them in a place you can see them and at the forefront of your mind.
