Although your plane outfit will depend slightly on your destination, I recommend these items for ultimate comfort! Whether you wear them on the plane or keep them in your bag to change
in to once you're on board
- Compression Socks – essential for long journeys where DVT risks are high
- Slip- on shoes
On most airlines, your carry on bag should not weight more than 10kg and needs to be 56 x 45 x 25cm large. These are my airline approved carry-on bag recommendations!
- Tote Bags
- Clear Pouch for liquids
As well as the usually large selection of in-flight entertainment, it's good to bring your own supplies! Make sure all your electronics are fully charged before you set off!
- Noise Cancelling Headphones
I'm the kind of girl who needs her sleep and nowhere is harder for me to sleep than on a plane! I always make sure to have these carry on items to help me sleep and keep me sane while on board:
- Eye Mask
- Neck Pillow
- Ear Plugs
The low humidity and air conditioning on board planes means that it's not only your skin which dries out when you're in the air. It's very important to stay hydrated and drink lots of water while you're flying - but never accept water from the tap of a plane, only drink bottled water! (How to Survive an Economy Flight
) read why here, on my long haul flights survival guide)
- Water Bottle
- Vitamin E Eye Cream
- Lip Balm
The limited space and washing facilities can leave you feeling pretty gross after a long flight. I find having these items essential for feeling fresh and clean:
- Cleansing Wipes
- Hand Sanitiser
- Change of Underwear
- Tinted Moisturiser
Here are some healthy snack ideas that you can easily take away with you
- Kale Chips
- Carrot sticks
- Passport/ Airline Tickets
- Money (Cash!)
- Travel Adaptors
- Travel Insurance
- Electronics Chargers
I hope you found this list helpful and have a wonderful holiday, wherever you are flying to!
