PINKTROTTERS WORKING AROUND THE GLOBE. NEXT STOP...BARCELONA!

I had the pleasure to travel to Barcelona and work there for 2 weeks. During my stay I was hosted by the Primero Primera Hotel in Barcelona. Located in one of the finer neighbourhoods of Barcelona Tres Torres, it's a friendly and very quiet area of the town. Just 10 minutes from the city centre, the hotel has a homely feel and outdoor pool - it felt like a home away from home. During my stay the staff was amazing. They arranged breakfast in my room each morning and after a day of hard work what's more relaxing then a in-room massage. Besides the 30 luxury rooms and suites the hotel has a cosy living room, a restaurant and several outdoor areas where you can relax. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in Barcelona. I tried and tested a few on this trip. The amazing Windsor Restaurant has an courtyard terrace and excellent service. Restaurant De Gustibus Italiae is located in a small street in the Tres Torres area. This award winning restaurant serves classic Italian dishes. I have never eaten better Foie Gras Crostini's before.






Every year, close to the end of September, Barcelona is celebrating La Mercè Festival. The festival lasts for around 5 days. The streets are filled with events, parades and big fireworks.






Although the public transport in Barcelona is quite good I recommend renting a scooter. It's the fastest way to move in around and you can literally park it anywhere. If you have the patience to wait in line for about 1 hour to get in do visit the Palo Alto Market on Sundays - you will find many food trucks here serving from sweets to tapas.
